Black Zadd

The more I learn about ZBrush, the more I learn that each quirk I stumble upon is there for a reason and when I learn it, I understand its value. The latest quirk I’m leaning is sometimes my brushes, when applied in Zadd, go all black (like it’s masked). Zsub does not go black, just Zadd. So before I cause a hissy fit, I’m just gonna ask why that is.What causes this?

Is RGB turned on for that brush? My guess is that you are using RGB as well as sculpting, and the Alternate switch is on so that holding Alt switches to black.

If this isn’t the case perhaps you’d say which brush it happens for.
