Bisley

Nice comic-book proportions. The only thing I can say is perhaps some more smoothing is called for. She looks a little lumpy, and the classic bronze material makes all of that real apparent.

Simon Bisley , have’nt heard that name in awhile. I’ll have to get out the 'ol comics later!

Nice work so far.:+1:

looking good…as mentioned, change the material for better render

Thanks for the comments!!! Too bumpy huh? Yeah, i still have soooooo much left to do with the anatomy and all those trinkets. Its been fun so far.

Ill change the material and see how it looks.

Thanks again.

Finished the Knee Armor and smoothed a few surfaces, or curves. Still havent done much with the anatomy just yet. im trying to get the stump she is going to be crouching on before anything else.

C and C is always welcome!!

I like what you’ve done since your last update. The bumps are gone and the knee armor looks nice. My only critique is that it is perhaps too big. In the illustration it looks like it mostly covers just the knee itself, whereas in your it looks like it also covers the transition from the upper to lower leg, which seems like it would limit mobility.

Ahhh gotcha Twitch.

Yeah ill have to adjust that later. Im going to start working on the stump tonight. Its gonna be hard getting all those bones aligned but im sure i can just imply their shapes but i really want to try some zspheres for the rib cage and all that. Should be easy after a few tries.

Thanks again Twitch!!

Put in the stump and the other trinkets i have finished mocking up. Up to 36 mil points and i can tell from how slow everything is working. Its like someone hit my computer in the balls or something ha!

Gonna finish up as much anatomy as i can tomorrow. I know there are some major mistakes but if i could still get some crits on anatomy that would be great.

C and C is always welcome!!!

  • the leg that’s leaning on the ground is higher in the reference. That’s why in the reference the hamstring is compressed and yours isn’. Same thing with compression of the muscles in the leg at the other one.

  • the pelvic bone is a lot more exagerated in the reference and the underwear is a lot higher over the pelvic bone.

  • also the thing that gives away that this is a por replica of the reference are the brests. In the reference they are compressed sideways by the arms. The arms compress them at the sides, thus pushing them onwards and they get compressed at the middle ! be carefull there and take ur time. That’s why they seem so big. In ur work, they are just…stretched. No reason, no flow.

  • the shoulders are NOT rounded as in ur work. There is a muscle there. Take a close look at the reference. They are bulging a bit. She is close to muscular. The curve of the neck must flow smoothly into them, but draw a line between the shoulders and you will see what I mean.

  • the cover of the knee. It;s WRONG. in the reference, it covers the kneecap, but it doesn’t go a lot over it as yours does. And ALSO, the cranium on it is smaller than it;s size, in your work, the cranium exceedes the margins of it.

i’ll stop here.
there are just pointers.
I’ll drop a few more in as you go. this is still a wip so I won;t judge as yet.
but still…I see a lot of work and attention to detail - but not so much attention to proportions and muscle shapes.

good luck

WOW!!! NOW THAT IS A CRITIQUE!!!

Thanks CojoMan. I noticed everything that you had mentioned besides the leg being posed wrong. I got a friend coming over this weekend to pose for me. So i am going to take as many reference pictures as i can. Im sure that will take the sculpt over the top.

Again, nothing is finalized in this image. its just a mock up.

Thanks so much cojoMan. I really appreciate your time!!!

Great progress since I last looked and thought you’d got stuck on those feathers!
The figure is coming along nice. I won’t offer any crits yet coz just as you seem to go a bit quiet on it, you post a huge leap forward so I’m eagerly awaiting the next step!

Well Done

Keep on Z-Ing!

fishadder

Thanks fishadder!!! I appreciate the comment. Didnt get any sculptnig done this weekend but i should have an update in a few days.

Love your apple sculpts. I have been waiting for someone to post some still lives on this site for a while.

I remember looking over your progress on this thread. Well, regardless of whether you have anything to teach me, it seems clear that we’re working towards some similar goals.

Yes, this is a very credible work, and a worthy subject you’ve chosen.

I hope to get into more complex scenes too. “How do you like me now” was done all in zbrush and took just one day.

DAnconia, nice work you do! The common shapes are good. My suggestion are to blend knee parts more precisely, and make her pelvis more in style of concept

:stuck_out_tongue:

Thanks for the comments Wild and Geser. I havent had any time to work on this model in almost a week. Life, you know? But i really hope to get back on this sculpt tonight.

I am waiting for a friend of mine to have some spare time to pose for me. SHE IS GLORIOUS!!! Soon as i get some reference photos im gonna start sculpting the body again. Right now im just working on all the trinkets and straps and jewelry. Might as well get the boring stuff out of the way.

Thanks again Wild and Geser.

Geser, could you elaborate more on the pelvis crit you suggested. Im not fully understanding what you are trying to convey.

Just a couple of skulls that im doing for the stump. Need a few more, but thats what the weekend will be for.

Based on Morris Free Skull Tool

THANKS SADICUS FOR THE TOOL!!!

C and C always welcome

hey DAnconia realy nice models, learn anatomy and skeleton.

Thanks Rodion!! Yeah these skulls definitely are NOT anatomically correct. I wasn’t looking to have them be that way.

The figure has a WHOLE lot of work that needs to be done. Im on vacation all next week so i will be spending as much time as i can on completing this model. I have so many others i want to be working on as well.

Im thinking of creating a bunch of Bisley’s work from one of his gallery books. The next one is an Amazon woman. Its gonna be REALLY nice.

Thanks again Rodion!!!

Update on the stump. Still have to add a bunch of bones everywhere and do better on the grass.

Comments and Crits is always appreciated [[ATT=]Stump and Skulls.jpg[/ATT]](http://javascript%3Cb%3E%3C/b%3E:zb_insimg%28%27%27,%27Stump%20and%20Skulls.jpg%27,1,0%29)
