big problem for me :(

hi all i am new in zbrush and i have problem i losing all day but i cant correct mistake
when i rotate my caracter to front, and try edit, zbrush edit back of caracter (other side) how to correct that??? i want edit what i see not other side

PLASE HEEEEELLLLPPPP

I’m not entirely sure, mind you, but it sounds as if you have symmetry turned on along an unwanted axis.

Go to the “Transform” pull down menu, look 3 boxes down, and you can see any mirror symmetry you have turned on (X Y Z). Select a different axis, or none at all until you find the effect you’re after.

If this is not want you meant, I apologize. Perhaps a screenshot would help.

i try that what you say but nothing
look this picture http://img520.imageshack.us/img520/8674/corelyb4.jpg
do you see where is my pointer and that little red dot
,and now i going to move some parts of caracter (i looking in front of caracter)

and look this second picture: http://img235.imageshack.us/img235/949/corelnj1.jpg
look what is he move, parts from behind

btw my symetry is set to >X< >M< but when i turn off symetry same problem i have

sorry on my english

THANKS ON YOUR TIME

I never learn
I post a reply to a question and then the new user delay kicks in and a post suddenly appears before mine, making me look a complete twank. Heh heh.

All you’ve done is grabbed some polygons on the back of the head through the opening in the mouth or the eyes. Just pull the mistake parts back and smooth the bumps down. This isn’t a problem with the program (ZB2 in this case). You just need to be careful what you are grabbing with the Move tool. You couldn’t see the polygons on the back of the head because you don’t have ‘Double’ turned on in the Tool > Display section.

here is the video of my problem (its flash)

Plejer, that is kind of weird. The only thing that comes to mind right off the bat is that your mesh has some weird flipped normals. In Z2, go to Tool>Display properties> Flip, and flip the entire mesh.

If that doesn’t work, upload your tool, and I’ll take a look at it.

Well, a few things spring to mind. The red dot, which should be centred under the brush crosshairs, is off centre, which suggests you’re selecting the polygons at the rear. Why is it not selecting polygons at the front? I suspect you have symmetry turned on, but not the ‘M’ (mirror symmetry). You’re also moving the brush around as if you’re intending to make brush strokes, but you have the Move tool selected
a sweep of the move tool in ZB2 will create those wing shapes you’re getting.

The other thing is that the Tool you have loaded doesn’t appear to bear much resemblance to the head on screen. I can’t be sure as it’s so small, but perhaps you can post a larger screen shot of the tool icon, please?

heres the tool thanks alot on your help

I checked out your file. I honestly dont know what happened to it
at some point it just became corrupted.

In any event, its easy to fix. Export it as an OBJ, then reimport the OBJ. That fixed the problem for me. Use the “reconstruct subdivision” command to reconstruct the lower levels of subD.

If this happens again with another tool, it probably has something to do with an export setting in the program you’re using to make the base mesh. If you made this mesh in ZB, I have no idea what happened.

the mesh is made it in cinema4D,thanx on your help and time its work with export and import

ZBrush doesn’t really like meshes with holes. Your model has holes for the eyes, mouth and the base. That’s the only thing I can think of to explain why the model behaves so strangely. Try to close all holes in your mesh before exporting from C4D. The model also has a bit of a tilt, with none of the vertices on the centre line at X=0.

Thanks for letting us have a look. Chalk it up to experience
it’ll probably never happen to a model again.

can you share (if not for an special work) the object to see what happen?

post #8. The model is compressed in a .rar file.

Thanks Moochie:
i load the ztool and make a clone and work like a charm! Here is a zscript
Andreseloy

here is an zscript

hej i am noob for ZB how to open that script :o :o
btw i finished that work and for me its great, this is my first work in zbrush
here is the link

Hi Plejer33, I think you can not open the script because in row 5 and 6 (of the script) there is the wrong information for you. Your computer is looking for a file called:
[FileNameSetNext,“C:\Documents and Settings\Mario Blanco\Mis documentos\face\face 2c.ZTL”][ISet,Tool:Item Info,2]
[FileNameSetNext,“C:\Documents and Settings\Mario Blanco\Mis documentos\face\face 2c.ZTL”][IPress,Tool:Load Tool]
and those files dont excist on your computer, So your have to change them.

thx sonja
