best way to model teeth+gums+toungue for my base mesh?

im sorry for yet another question, but i thought since you guys were so great i had to ask.

basically i have created my base mesh in Maya (for animation, so will be rigged in maya after) and I’m happy with it. and i have a good idea of my general work flow. however i didn’t not factor in the teeth gum’s and tongue,

-whats the best way to go about creating teeth? should it be connected to the end of the lips and blocked out in maya? if so how do i sculpt and refine the teeth if the lips and face are in the way of it.

-or do i do it totally separately from the base mesh mesh. (allowing me to sculpt it free of other geometry in zbrush). if the second option is the best, will eveyrthing work okay when i come to rig the face, with the teeth and tounge being seperate from the head and all.

im sorry if these questions are a bit naive, but im just trying to my head round the best workflow. i want a perfect base mesh for animation as well as still poses.

really hope you can again help me, really appreciate this forum and its members for sure

Have you tried using ZBC’s search feature for “model teeth” or “model mouth”?
