Best Way To Creating Muscle Studies (answered)

I took a break from Zbrush for quite some time because i felt i needed
to study human anatomy more. Now i am getting to a point where i know
the skeletal structure and all the basic muscles. Now i’m coming back to
Zbrush to do some of my studies here.

My 1st project, i have created a skull to the best of my knowledge
and wanted to add the muscles on top of the skull.
But it’s hard for me to sculpt the muscles on top of the skull because
of all the sunken in places and holes. I seen a video once of a guy
creating the skull, then added muscles, then added a skin layer but i can’t
remember where i saw that at.

Can you guys please explain a good way of doing this?
I want to muscles to feel stretched and tight.
Thanks

The two Kingslein videos above are fantastic. You may be thinking of the chapter and corresponding dvd demo of sculpting the ecorche of a skull in Scott Spencer’s book “ZBrush for Character Creation”. Kingslein is using more up to date tools in his demo’s, but Spencers book is still great, too.

Thanks so much guys.
Helped me a ton.
