I’ve got multithreading on, but what are the best memory settings for 6 gig ram, and also for 8? (More memory arriving in a day or two)
Also, ideally with this setup, how high should I set max polys?
Keen to know this myself, having not long got my 8 gig machine. I have my memory set to max (4 I think), and the divisions per poly set to 50). But all guess work on my part.
I recall another thread said something about max poly being set to 15 mill or so.

I’m using a Quad 64 bit system with 8 Gb RAM. Set it to max, 4096, I’m also using the “set poly” to about 25 should do it. 25 million polys is quite mush even now.
I usually increase this value if ZBrush demands it 
Your gfx card has to be counted in for also. ZBrush is running great with my ATI Card.
I’m using XP x64, vista is a resource eating system,
