Sorry for all the questions
. Can any of you share your tips/settings for exporting/taking pic of your model, I.E light setting, AA setting, rendering, etc ,etc. I have searched for hours/days for any info on this subject and have found nothing. I’m kinda surprised there are no tutorials on this subject, if there are I must be looking in the wrong spot…as usual.
Most people simply use a pleasing MatCap, all of which have the lighting baked in so you don’t need to adjust any of those settings. Then all you need to do is size the canvas to twice the desired export size, turn on AA Half (found on the right shelf) and draw the model to fill the canvas. Rotate it to the angle you’d like, exit Edit Mode, and do a Best Render. Now simply use Document>Export to send that out of ZBrush as a PSD or BMP.
Done!
Thank you aurick. Could you explain the canvas part a little more? I don’t understand what you mean by size the canvas to twice the desired export size? Also, I do not see anything about AA on the right shelf, I expanded all the menus.
I strongly recommend reading the online documentation. The link is in my signature.
If you don’t have the AA Half button on the right shelf then what version of ZBrush are you using? Could you show a screen shot of your entire ZBrush interface?
I’m an idiot
. The half AA is there, I was looking under the tool pallet.
I have been reading the documentation, but can’t find anything pertaining to canvas sizing.
Go to Top Menu/Document and click on double. Render your image and once done click on the AAHalf button … there you go Antialiasing
Now you can save your image under Document/Export.
Hope that helps.
Thank you so much guys!
