Berserk

This is berserk - warrior of security, guard. It’s low-poly model with normal map and the second with displacement map. Low-poly cage is modelled in 3dsmax, and subdivisions were added in ZBrush. Rendering by maya MentalRay. Hope you like, though textures can be done better. I have concentrated mostly on the modelling rather than texturing.

normal maps! yeh! havent seen any normal mapping for awhile, love the draperies and the veins…im currently building a low poly model myself and am planning on doing a normal map applied in maya…which script did you use? id like to see your mesh by the way

I used normal maps as described at
www.drone.org for mental ray
It’s almost the same as to use it for maya software, but there is a little diffrencies (they are also described there).

check out http://www.carboneros.com/mel.htm if you want to use the tangent shader script, but its only for maya software renders

Thanks for it. I would like to use tangent maps, but, to me, i yet did not find the aim for it. :wink:
