I just purchased ZBrush & want to use it for jewelry design. Any suggestions on how to get started for a beginner. I’m a bit lost.! Also are there any recommendations for a community college that offers this course in the Los Angeles area.??

Hi, I bought zbrush about 2 weeks ago for the same reason… i`ve not made a thing yet but… i have spent alot of time reading / watching tutorials on various subjects just to get an idea of what & how to do things.
Now i feel like i`m starting to get an idea of how to go about a simple project 
zclassroom, starter guide, youtube & this site will keep you busy for a long time!
A little bit of homework first will help you alot & reduce frustration. There is way too much info to take in, keep it simple until you start to remember stuff & then expand gradually.
Just to add: I think watching lessons on shadowbox & importing a jpeg into spotlight to use as a reference image is a good place to start.
