Beginner zbrush - How to?

Hi Everyone in this forum,
Hi all, I’m new here. From small kids i Dream to be an artist to draw 3D or some other fantasy image. however I never find the way to learn. I had tried using other 3D software like 3DMax, Maya, Bryce, etc. but learn nothing.

Once I seen Zbrush and the masterpiece created by all zbrush artist here were amazing. Can anyone share and teach me how to start and become a proff?

Thank you very much,

Cheers,
DeJohan

Hi.
For starting, you can surely go to the Zclassroom homeroom (http://www.pixologic.com/zclassroom/homeroom/). There you’ll find nice videotutorials showing many ZB features. Please keep in mind that ZB is marvellous but quite complex, so take your time to learn the fundamentals (quite different from many other 3D programs). During the process, remember to have fun ;).
Ciao

First of all: Patience…

I can sense from the way you posted (I had tried using other 3D software like 3DMax, Maya, Bryce, etc) that you expect to have instant results…

Learning any 3d app requires a lot of time and hard work, at least one year for a little advance, at most all your life to have great results, yet it’s really worth the effort.

Polymodeling apps (maya, 3ds max, xsi) will help you a lot in creating any kind of content combining them with zbrush Dont leave them. Photoshop also is a must.

Second: Observation

Learn about anatomy… it will improve greatly your sculpts.
Observation, will help you know how things are. Otherwise you will might be unable to sculpt or model.
Learn how the light and materials interact, and react… will be the final output of your work (rendering)

Third: Passion

Don’t get upset if your first works are not how you’ve imagined them… eventually you will become a better artist. But if you abandon this, sureley you will NEVER be an artist at all. Search for crits, not only here at zbc (a great place to start), but in every place suited to that.

Good luck!

ISK-86 is right… patience and just doing the work. Try and fail try and fail try and fail… that’s how you learn this 3d stuff… it takes time and a lot more of it than you think. But, if you STICK WITH IT, you’ll find that you get little successes and they’ll lead to bigger ones. Watch the tutorials, work along with them, rewatch, and then watch again…

Even if you go to school for this and shell out tens of thousands of dollars, what they teach you is that you have to do the work.

Wish you the best and don’t give up.

Hi ISK-86
great, your answers get the jackpot. I almost get upset when doing 3DMax, Maya and bryce3D. patient is must. I will try my best from now. the purpose I’m doing Zbrush because i’m not tend to be commercial artist :). I 'm a person who born ini arts talent but working on a wrong field :(.

hopefully if i can masterized zbrush, i can created many fantasy arts

anyway, thanks for all also give me some opinion to start up
