Beginner needs help

Hi all thx for stopping by.

I found a cool World of WarCraft concept that I’m making into a Zbrush model.

I started an initial block out in 3ds Max which unwrapped fine. (1st image)

I then exported the different objects into Zbrush without a problem.
In Zbrush I subdivided my mesh to around 2 million polys.

My problem is when I texture my pillars. The texture/and or sculpting behaves like I’m still on my first subdivision level. It looks like the original polys are “ghosting” up to the highest sub division level. (2nd Image)

Also there are certain points on my pillar where the sculpting and textures are fine on the highest subdivision level.

I stored a morph target at the beginning if that helps you figure this out.
