Hello! My name is Vittorio and I write from Roma, Italy.
I hope that this is the right place to post a basic help request.
I am new to zbrush and I am following many interesting tutorials that I could find on this and other internet sites.
I am experimenting with some models and brushes and I notice that more than once I get a “strange polygonal situation” like the one that you can see in this picture:
I am working at a relatively low level of subdivision and I don’t want to go up (it usually won’t fix the problem). If I try to fix this the polygons moving them with the move brush or “adding” material with the one of the clay brushes or the standard brush I usually get a mess with my mesh.
This is how the polyframe looks:
I tried with the Dynamesh and a resolution of 128 and 256 but it doesn’t seem to work. I also tried to manually move this polys with the move brush without success.
I usually face this problem when I work with a low resolution mesh and/or when I use the transpose (for example to pose my model after I finished working with it using symmetry).
What I could to to partially solve this situation was to use the smooth brush to soften the edges and recover the mesh, but this approach usually work just for “easy” situations.
I am wondering what an expert user would do in such a situation. Unfortunately I noticed the problem (and it is not the first time) after some time, so I can’t go back in time with the history.
Thanks for your help!
