Bcast 3.0 Canvas Resizerrrrrr

Plakkie, it was a typo in the post, the plug is correct. You got me looking there for a minute 8).

PS:Excellent hint Svengali!!! CHANGED!

Hey, great work, Lemo :+1: . Many thanks for that.

Roland

Hahaha, well that’ll make lots of things I do simpler! Should have thought of doing that. Thank you very much lemonnado!!

:+1: Jason. It bugged me already quite some while. And Auricks Power2 script and TVeyes ZoomFit snipplet inspired this. A fun project.

Now an improved V2 is available. See details on first page.

Cheers
Lemo

cool tool! thanks for sharing!

wicked. what would also compliment this is another set of presets that would be geared towards standard print sizes for landscape and portrait formats.

Well, then let me know what you want! I guess the ratio is more important than the resolution. But hey, put some values up! I’ll make a second button. Then we have the bcast ones and the print ones! Good idea! I’ll go and research the standard sizes/ratios. Maybe I release V3 tomorrow 8))))).
Lemo

heres a little quotation from the expose submit page

A guideline is 2657 pixels wide and/or 3636 high, 300 DPI (portrait), or 3636 pixels wide and/or 2657 pixels high, 300 DPI (landscape). Your image aspect ratio and layout will dictate the final resolution. These are given as guidelines. To be safe, render images that are larger than these specified.
another resolution that would work is

Landscape
3872 x 2592, 2896 x 1944, 1936 x 1296

a portrait counterpart would be nice as well.
2592 x 3872, etc.

these are based on 3:2 ratio that photo cameras take. these are directly from nikon d200. as an example.

Now why didn’t I think of this? Simple and yet so effective.

Great work Lemo, and thanks for sharing. :+1:

A Great Tool Lemo, thank you for sharing mate.

thanks lemmo. I had allways problems to remember the resolutions and now with your plugin …et voila…

ciao voolger

Thanks Lemo, makes editing a few frames in Zbrush easier, and indeed: it makes you look professional.

Question: how do you make such a plugin actually? I’m curious as to how it’s
done: it’s great if you can adjust your software to your specific needs. Are there manuals on it?

One more question: err… why is it called Bcast?

It’s all in here Plakkie:

Check out the samples and the ZScript Reference.
It’s quite awkward, but all we have right now.
Lemo

Pfff… That looks terrible… I have nothing but awe for programmers. To me it’s a dark art. Lucky for me there are dark wizards around to hand out free spellbooks!

But I repeat: why “Bcast”?

Sorry, Bcast is an abbreviation for Broadcast.
Lemo

Aaaaah…

that feels better!

Hey Lemo

Congo

Great jump from grebbles to zscript.

This will surely help.
