[Basic]Brush path visibility

Hi,

I have probably a very basic/stupid question to ask  but I still havent figured out it works :

once I enter a brush drawing a “path” on the screen ( like the Mask Curve Pen for ex. ), when I select any other tools/brush afterwards, I still see the path on the screen ( but greyed ).

How can I easily delete the path ?

The only method I found is to duplicate the subtool and delete the original one.

Is there an easier way ? I feel so duuuuuuuuumb. :o

Before you change brush type, hit the Delete button in the correct palette. Clicking on the mesh is also supposed to delete the curve(probably fixes the current stroke onto the mesh). HTH

Nope, it didn’t work here.

Is there a preference setting that could be important ?

Re-read your post, sounds like a mask is applied. Ctrl + left click and drag in workspace to clear the mask…or in making panel. Clear mask.

OK, explaining with the Mask Curve Pen is not a good example.

So I took a screenshot of my “issue” :

I cant delete the path lines. At least I cant find how to do it.

Looks like clay tubes? Click the mesh, should work.

Well, everything works as expected, except that the path is always visible …

Once the 2 meshes are merged, I still end up seeing the path.

:o

Weird, Stroke palette about 1/2 way down is Delete (Curve). Seems fine here without using it. The rest of my model is masked still after insert(darker color). Do you Skype?

Mr Jones, you just saved my sanity : so it was the <delete> button under “Curve Functions” …

Thanks a lot and please have a drink for me

Cheers

PS : would you know a good tutorial showing how to use all the Curve parameters ?

Clicking once on the underlying mesh will also delete the curve. To use your image above as an example, you would click once on the Plane (not the tubes). This is much quicker than going to the ‘Stroke > Curve Functions’ palette and clicking ‘Delete’ button.
