Baking Paint on Model

Hello fellow Zbrushers, I have a question.
I have painted my model and I now need to bake it on to it and then it will be taken out of Zbrush for other people to fiddle with, to rig etc.

I have lots of fabby books which I have been reading and trawling the Zbrush documentation, but I can’t seem to find the answer…maybe I need new spectacles

If anyone could point me in the right direction I would be eternally grateful

The best method I have found is to polypaint you high poly model in zbrush.

retopo a low rez version as a seperate mesh, topogun or 3dcoat is best for this or in your choice of modeling package like Maya.

Use xnormal to bake your high version to your low.

the reason for this is your low retopo model is seperate from your high poly model, and does not need to exist in zbrush.

The advantage to this is your low bake model does not need to live in zbrush…

hope that helps
