I would like to start this off by thanking anyone who would have the time to read this post and offer any advice. I have been working with zbrush for the better part of a month now and I cant express how much I love this program. I am simply amazed by how much detail you can quickly conjure with this tool.
Tutorial after tutorial I have been progressively learning how to make some impressive character models. That said I have hit the wall. Baking materials to texture maps, I have found that this method works but only with my lower non-HD geometry. I have searched and explored multiple methods using Zapplink and Uvmaster and have found only low quality results. So to make things short, I was wondering how to get my materials and my HD geometry/polypaint into maya. Using GoZ i have been able to skip my technical barrier, but my goal is to carry over everything from zbrush into maya from the slightest shade and detail. I know this is possible since i have seen so much HD models rendered out so well in maya…anyway thanks again, here is a HD preview of my current project.
