Baking high poly model to low res

Hi,i need an advice for a project that i am doing.i am starting messing with zbrush now since i didnt have to use it for my previous job where i was using 3ds max for low poly meshes and designing environments but i want to start moving forward and learn new things.So i am new with zbrush. I have created a T-Rex in max around 28k polys.This is going to be my basic mesh.I want later on to animate it for a short movie. To create the textures and the details i am going to use the zbrush. However,i dont know how to use it at all. I am watching some videos for beginners but i would like someone to tell me what i have to look for.i mean the methodology of doing it.

For example i know that i have to increase the polys and then start the sculpting,but after that how am i going to create the textures and bake them so my low res will look like the high poly inside the max?Also does the polypaint works better than using photoshop from scratch?
