background image

Hi Guys

I want to render out my latest model, and I have a background I created in photoshop. is there a way to have the image in the background at render in zbrush?

if not is there a way to export an image from zbrush with the background as a separate layer so I can just paste my painting in there?

cheers

Clean your canvas (Ctrl+n), Import your background image, select a flat shader and go to Color>Fill layer

Then go to Layer>Create, and place your Ztool there

Cheers

HI

its worked to a point, I got the image in there, but tis colours are somewhat changed, I cant find anything called flat shadder to fill it with and everyoption I have tried has just filled over the image with the colour I have picked.

anyideas what the flat shader is called in the materials pallet? or ios it not a material?

cheers
steve

“Flat Color” shader.

yep tried that one, all I get is my image covered in white :frowning:

I have followed your steps, tried it 4 times, still cant get it to work. I get the image initially, but the colours are off, by a long way, then when I fill the layer with the shader it just disapears under the white.

  1. Import your image into the Texture palette.
  2. Select the FlatColor material.
  3. Press Texture>Crop and Fill to resize the canvas to match the texture and fill it with the selected texture and material.
