I have read every post about Backface Masking and tried all the suggestions, yet Backface Masking still does not work for me. Any suggestions for a workaround?

It might be worth noting that backface masking wont work with every brush type, such as rectangular masking. Are you getting this issue even when you try to use a standard brush?

The only tool I have tried Backface Masking with is the pen tool, especially after reading all the other posts on the subject. In addition, I have tried using the mask pen because of another suggestion I read in a past post. Since none (having the same issue) have continued writing about it, then I would assume they solved it. Or they just gave up.
