This is nice work, I like it very much, this advice posted so far is good as far as I can see but I would also try to add some glossyness to the shell and Skin, not too much but just so much as to show the wet texture on the skin and shell.
The atmosphere is just great with the whole scene depicting submarine conditions, well done my friend and keep us updated with the future images you create.
not surface
it is a miracle of Photoshop…emh…a filter that is modified a little !
for a model that will not answer to an animation, photoshop is the best
I made only the model in ZBrush and then I used Photoshop to render the
colors and the water…but I wanna learn to render everything with
ZBrush or a 3D softwere !!
If you have used ZBrush to render the water, please speak to me how you did it
Very well done. I hope to see somemore. 50.
Thanks for your advises… i´m gonna play around a bit and post the new one in a few days (no time at the moment )
For the sea surface check out this great tutorial
http://www.heathrowe.com/tuts/underwater.asp
It´s easy to make and has a really nice result ! (my personal advise… pick the colors from a real underwater-scene… )
cu soon

Really excellent looking picture! The modeling and scene composition work great together. Also thanks for posting the link to the tutorial.

Nice model and compositing man. I’d love to see some rays or speckles reflect on the turtle’s shell.
And thanx for the tutorial link, greatly appreciated.
Lovely image…
I would agree that the turtle shell needs some more detailing, but love the composition, “lighting” (or as you explained…photoshop work!) and texturing.
