Hey guys! been a while since I posted anything so here’s some of my new characters!

Hey guys! I started another character, it’s a dark elf, mainly inspired by the elder scrolls games.

Please tell me what you think about him or any suggestion to make him better! thanks

About the dark elf: I think the skin texture is a little bit too uniform. It’s hard for me to describe what I mean… there’s always going to be that basic level of texture that skin has (look really close at the smooth areas of your hands and arms to see what I mean). But for things like wrinkles, you’re only going to want those applied in the areas that are most likely to move, and in the direction that they usually are when they move. For instance, look at anyone over 40 and they will have “crows feet”. These are formed after years of the skin losing elasticity and years of skin moving in certain, expressive, directions. That’s why crows feet are more horizontal and the wrinkles around old people’s (and ape’s) mouths are more vertical. They were formed by movement.

What you have is more like thick leather or elephant’s skin. Large patterned wrinkles such as those are more common on thicker skin… or maybe skin after years in the hot sun.

I hope this was helpful.

Thank you for the help! (sorry it took so long to answer!) I followed your advice, I reduced the intensity of the layer with the elephant-like skin pattern and began to do wrinkles.

Here’s what I have so far!

I hope it looks better now! thanks!

Yeah, that is better. Can you show some other angles though?

Thanks! here are a few other angles (I also did the polypaint, hair and pose)
