Your work reminds of the Ron Mueck sculpture show I just saw a couple of days ago at the Brooklyn Museum. You may find his sculpture of a new born baby (was in the Brooklyn show) interesting as well. Why do people say this is disgusting, disturbing, etc. when it is simply reality? Just because you never see the femur doesn’t mean it isn’t there, etc. Maybe they are thinking about it from the cadaver point of view.
