Automatically select appended subtool? (answered)

Is there a way to activate an appended subtool by default? I am working on a model which needs a lot of zspheres to be appended and modeled. Each time I append a new subtool I need to click on it and activate it to work on it. I like the new Insert feature but is there a way to have an appended subtool become active on its own?

There is another thing. After I position zpheres is there a way I could turn them into polymeshes and append the polymesh at the same time. Currently with Zspheres I press A, then make polymesh 3d, then i need to hit append, select the new polymesh and add it.

I know it isn’t a big deal but I could speed up things a bit if appended subtools became active by default and skinned zspheres could be appended too ( optionally).

If you use Tool>SubTool>Insert then the appended subtool will be the next down the list and you can simply press the DOWN ARROW to select it.

@marcus, thanks for the tip. It will help.
