AutoCAD model to Zbrush Issue

When I draw either a solid model or mesh in AutoCAD and open it in 3DS Max, it is fine. I GoZ it from 3DS Max to Zbrush and it looks fine but only has points at major intersections. If I try to subdivide it, totally deforms the model. I am a total newbie to Zbrush so I am sure it is a simple step I am missing. How do I add a finer set of polygons? Should this be done in 3DS Max or is there a way to do it in Zbrush? I have a lot of models that I have drawn over the years so it would be great to learn how to import them.

Thanks for any insight you may provide!

It all depends on the geo.
zbrush works with SDS so you’ll want to make sure you have a model that supports that type of modeling. Quads.

Uploading an image or 2 never hurts to help illustrate your problem.

Thank you. I figured out what I was doing wrong. Once I G0Z-ed the model, I needed to change to SUV mode before subdividing.
Being a total newbie at this type of modelling, any help is a wonderful thing.
Thanks for taking time to respond!
