I’m experiencing continuous crashes under OSX 10.6.8 (macpro 2 xeon nehalem 12Gb ram, nvidia)
How to post a capture when zbrush just crashes like this?
Impossible to recover, loosing always my work.
Most of the crashes when trying to import a texture. A simple 8 bit tex I mean.
HDR images don’t work (crash) but we know this already.
BTW zbrush 4 never crashed in my hands. Just saying.
Hi,
Can you post more info about the texture? Is it RGB or gray scale ? Is it a PSD format? jpg format? What is the texture size? Can you upload one such texture?
We are currently testing all reported items and these item that require a ‘fix’ will be corrected in the next update patch.
Thank you Pixolator
Simple 8 bit color jpg. (1024x1024)
Copied from my zbrush 4 /zstartup/textures
But my question (experiencing lot of other crashes so far, unpredictable, I can’t reproduce them) is
“does autorecovery works under OSX?”
Please some help, else zb4r2 becomes useless for me.
Noticed in some other application forums too:
Is this some kind of policy, not to try to understand what a user writes? Even when his english don’t help him much…
Anyway, this critical bug reported to PixologicSupport.
I hope we’ll have some update soon, the bugs are too many.

Recovery not working under OSX, though it seems activated under preferences.
all crashes lead to an empty recovery folder.
