Eh… Hi there %) Here is my first post here :o So eh… Somewhat nervous %) Although I have been playing with ZBrush for few months already… I have never ever made my images public, but my friend almost forced me to post it so others could comment and criticize it. So, here is my latter image (originally it was 1600x1200). Hope youll like it %) Ah yes, I did all modelling and little texturing in ZBrush (I really didnt want any texture on it, exept for red part - it`s a statue, I think %)), and walls and floor I did in MAX, and rendered with Vray.

Hm, a couple of things you can fix straight away:

The legs, are they spider legs? It’s a bit too dark to tell, but the upper part of the legs are just sort of blobby, maybe a beetle shell look or something would be good. If you want a flabby skin look, a more natural skin color and some faint veins would look cool.

The hole in the chest cavity: Just give it some ragged edges for a better ripped open look. I just saw a guys leg ripped open in front of me in a motorcycle accident two weeks ago, a ragged edge and the layers made it look almost real! :confused: (poor guy)

I like the point you’re making (argh), put up another WIP!

Strange… Wrote a reply a day ago, and it didnt appeared... One more try %) So, thanks for replies, especially for Lovecraftys. Btw, I am a fan of H.P.L. too %) So, about the legs: this thing doesnt have it %) Its somewhat floating in the air. Maybe, stakes growing from floor and walls and piercing this guy, support it… Dont know %) Believe me, if it had legs Id make shure you see them %) About skin… Yeah, I messed up: couldnt decide if this thing is a plaster, stone or flesh %) And idea about veins - I like it %) Now for the cavity: it actually isnt wound… Its like the guy is growing out of demonic head and all these smooth bulges - they are quite common for my drawings and models. Well, Ive seen some very nasty wounds in my life: been to morgue quite a lot and watched all these shocumentaries: Traces of Death, FaseZ of Gore etc %) Ill try to redeem myself and please you and everybody else with next thing... Its kinda bloody - hope, censorship will let it through %)
Btw, whats a WIP? I browsed through some threads with “WIP”, but didn`t get the idea, except for they all are quite skillful :rolleyes:

hi, nice and original first post, although i would like to see some more light in the lower “leg” part, or maybe that was intentional?

Yep, intentional. Actually it turned out quite bright at first - walls and floor are heavily reflective %) So I darkened it a bit in the “leg” area %) Nothing interesting there anyway %)
