Attach head mesh to body?? weld???

hie:) hey guys after tryiang a lot in search forums and all i am still not able to find a good tutorial on attaching head to body? say a female’s?? can some please post a tutrorial ???

Post number 2 includes a video

This video will show you how to merge subtools and be able to sculpt across the tool without having the seam spread apart. This video will also show you how to seperate the merged tool and reconstruct the subdivision levels.

BUT –

While SubTool Master can merge the two SubTools into one, it won’t actually weld the geometry. The exact way to go about doing that depends upon how well your head and body topology match up.

If they’re a perfect match you can simply export the combined SubTool and then import it again with Tool>Import>Weld at the max setting.

If they’re a close match and low polygon counts, you can use the retopology feature to bridge the gap between them via the techniques shown here: http://www.pixologic.com/docs/index.php/Topology:_Mesh_Editing

If they’re high resolution or the topology just doesn’t match up then you’d have to retopologize the figure. That’s explained here: http://www.pixologic.com/docs/index.php/Topology
