assigned hotkeys don't work(solved)

This is odd. I can assign hotkeys ( ctrl&alt) and they are also listed as the ones I assigned, but they don’t work. they do work right after I assigned them the first time, but will not again after a restart of Zbrush. and yes, I did save them. the funny thing is, that if I want to assign the same hotkey again, Zbrush tells me that this one is already assigned to the chosen function.

for example I assigned M to move elastic and it worked perfectly. Then I closed Zbrush opened it again, hit M and no reaction. tried to assign M again to the Move elastic key and Zbrush says it’s set already. all the default keys like B for launching the brush menu do work. just none of my custom shortcuts.

any ideas? maybe I am completely missing something here?

Works for me… Do you assign them from the window that pops up when you hit “B”? If you do that, then your hotkey becomes “popup+hotkey” (not sure how that works). It would say that when you mouse over the brush with an assigned hotkey.

The way I assign hotkeys is from a docked brushes menu - and it seemed to work fine so far. “shrug”

Make sure you press Preferences>Hotkeys>Store so that the hotkey is saved in your StartupHotkeys.txt.
