I really like this one without the water and postwork a lot.
thx, i’m glad u like it even if this was done only 6 month ago (my very first steps using zbrush) i consider it too old and unrip actually
Wow, love this thread.
Pretty intense stuffs.
Congrats.
thx i’m glad to hear this
Studying new forms again, models & rendering in ZB , a bit PS here and there.
great, this one works very well, would love to see you explore more in this direction! (all your work is so amazing, with fresh ideas how to combine seen with unseen…)
Very interesting development and also it is verging on being an art form.
I would appreciate a description of the workflow that you use. I mean - don’t give away your secrets but a general description from A to Z .
Thanx in advance.
I am not sure if you saw my last post.
Great work.
I would love a description of your method.
That would be great
All the very best
(I aslo teach at a polythech in UK so it may be useful for teaching)
Amazing as always! Looks like some rare and exotic Jelly Fish! Wow, I almost missed the Abyss … it really rocks!
Cheers, David
man you are a machine…! new artwork bam bam bam…!!
i just wondering how many polys this one is? it looks really heavy…
and this is an evolution and extention of your usual methods on creating this?
@Kokoro, thx u very much…yes i’m exploring new things everyday to create my own style and ZB has no limits
@chalkman, glad u like it…about the Abyss it was my first work using ZB, actually i don’t like it so much ahah
@Tyrellcorp & Zsoka thx to you too guys. Polys , well about 6Ml , i’ve used also HD geometry to render it high so i’ve managed about 40ML, original size is about 50x70 at 300dpi.
I’ve used the grouploops somewhere but in a different way, masking and extracting loops, stretching vertex and used lots of symmetry deformations, inflat too and polish by groups
to have nice smoothed meshes. Usually in this case i’ve cloned the same subtool to add different sculpting and deformations and mixing them together. the rocks are made from a sphere
, squeezed or tapered and added some noise (from the deformation tool palette) plus i’ve used some alphas to sculpt them, adding mask by cavity and size deformation.
At the end no hidden secret just sculpt and deformations. Finally i’ve made a grabdoc for the depth to add some fog in photoshop and to apply blur by lens. T
The balls are separated , rendered in transparency, exported and added on a different level in photoshop then blurred.
That’s all and thx for watching.
Beksinski quick testing II

Testing again, even if there is more PS here, all models are in Zbrush as usual (moon, rocks, etc)

excellant walkthrough…!! thanks man… i really would like to print that one out to put on my wall.!
Thx you Tyrellcorp!
Beksinski again…well i love this artist you know…it’s very difficult to recreate his style (argh)
My little tribute to him for tonight, hope you like. C&C always welcome.

I like Beksinski and you have done an hell of a job. Colours are really similar to some of Beksisnki paintings, the whole composition and models are similar, my congrats.
I’ve seen the other pages of your thread…it’s incredible all the different styles you managed from Giger to Pomodoro to Escher to Dal etc. Great original unique use of Zbrush…
i’ve never seen something like that i’m newer here and love to learn from you.
I appreciate in particular the Radiolarians images and the surreal works on posts #688 plus #491 to #499 these are your best i think
…would be great to see how you start to create such incredible artworks.
Thx for your kind words Leonard. About the artworks on the posts you mentioned yes, these are my most original pieces (personally speacking) i’m glad u like them, sincererly.
Where i start? Well long to explain, for sure first or then i’ll share my workflow for some things just waiting for a proper artwork to show where i’m fully satysfied
…call it autocriticism, i’m still on my own research. The Artists you underligned are of course my main influences and source of inspiration (not only them)…simply trying with ZB to make something
different , for me at least. Thx for watching.
Luxifer Good job, I also really like Beksinski
but it is very difficult to transport the soul from 2D to 3D, I would say that it is impossible
not stop trying, leaving wonderful things
as Picasso said, that inspiration, surprise me working
a hug
addio:D
For sure it’s difficult , impossible probably but at the end it is a challenge i like to accept with myself eheh
anyway when you try to study an artist (a painter in this case) it’s very interesting to trasport some textures or alpha and general sculpting from a paint to a 3D, you can learn a lot with this approach and ZB offers lots of tools and variations to work
See you PFC
