Arthur Gatineau work

Hey Zbrushcentral,

First time posting and I’m very excited to share my work here !

Here’s a quick project I finished today to learn arnold and xgen.
The character design done by Larry MacDougall.

I sculpted it in zbrush and textured it in Mari.

Hey ZBC,

I made this character as an exercice for pbr shading / gameart workflow. I used substance painter for the texture work and marmoset toolbag 2 for the render.

Hey zbc, I’m working on a bust ! I did the shirring in marvelous designer, the jacket is hand sculpted.
Let me know what you think.

Great work, but the skull is a bit angular. I did a photoshop coorection that could help you if you want to improve it:

  • Eyes scale done a bit
  • Reduce a bit the lower lip and move down the chin line
  • Move down the ears also.

I kinda feel she looks too much like a boy on your corrected version, I mean, the face is not round enough IMO. Here are my references, the features of her face change a lot from shot to shot and with the different facial expressions / focal angle etc

After so many corrupted files and issues I managed to finish this project. Done in Max, Zbrush, VRay, Mari and Ornatrix.Pore details made with TexturingXYZ maps ( http://texturing.xyz ).

I can’t provide other angles at the moment, my hair system is very buggy and I’m unable to render any frames, I hope I’ll find time and motivation to solve the issue.

I did this character on my freetime for the last 3 weeks, I streamed most of the process on my twitch channel ( except the long renders ! ) .
I had a lot of fun creating this dirty textures in Mari.
All the videos are on my youtube channel ( Links below ).
This is rendered in Vray for 3dsmax using Alsurface shader.
The character itself is inspired by the film Insidious.
I used my personal basemesh as a base ( Available on my Gumroad store)
