Arnold Schwarzenegger Bodybuilder

2 or 5 all day.

I don’t think the desert distracts focus because the slight fading of the background creates the illusion of distance. Arnold is still more vivid and pops out even with the desert having similar color to the skin tone. The blue sky itself is enough to add some color to it.

However, I truly like them all, even the old ones with the dark background and backlighting. Once you pick a render, this is top row for sure. Very impressive. *****

The model is great, but that background sequence reminds me that old video

Thank’s all!

I will do a mking of probalby next week, so I will explain all the things. for the skylight by the way I don’t use the exposure control.

jamespthornton: It’s a hold WIP so it’s already in the top row. And yeah I think I will go with number 5.

Here I did a quick update on the skin shader, I add relfection in addition of the specular , I think it integrated better with the BG. Let me know wich one you like the most, render 3 is the original shader by the way, and I move a little bit the sun.

Hell ye. Much better! :+1:

I prefer the number 2 is a good compromise between all the pictures I think. In all cases superb job.:+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:

Bloody Awesome dude, Im massive Fan of Arnie.

He just looks fantasitc. The only thing that still bugs me is his mouth. I think the side of his mouth(cheek) could us a bit more subtle detail. I would love to see this guy in the turntable gallery!

Hello, i think Nummer 2 looks most realistic.

Number 4 looks a little too “wet” if you know what i mean, like he was covered with oil or something.

Number 1 looks a little like plastic around the face, i really don’t know why.

You did a really great work there and i hope my comment here helped you a little…

how do you make this model so smooth???

Hey thank’s all!

Here is an update on the studio light render, I add reflection ot the skin and turn off the spec. By the way, I have start another character, for a still shot  but this one has not hair haha

Hope you like it!

Looks great Big Guns. All the renders look fantastic.

Looking forward to reading your WIP to see how you did all this. (Hope you have time to throw a few ideas and hints together please).

really nice work, man. beautiful render.
i’m really impressed/inspired by your commitment to this piece.
can’t wait to see your next one.

Why isn’t this in the top row.

@ lucao

A VERY good question I say, lol. This guy deserves it, I mean think of all the perseverance, the time and effort he put into this not to mention the quality:D

Keep going BigGuns! Great work

Hey guys, I’m already in the top row  For a long time, I’m in the gallery. That’s why I’m not once again in, maybe I will have to do an other thread just for my still image, so anyway, I put it in the same thread that is already in the gallery. Thank you all, I really appreciated

I had begun a new character, I will post soon,

It’s amazing that you’ve been working on this since '05! Whoa! How much does a commission cost? (please don’t answer…)

Seriously, though, I’d say it’s worth a repost to the top row with the final renders here! Maybe they could just bump it up with a new thumbnail and link. By the way, I dig the studio render almost as much as the ones out doors. The lighting and vivid look is crazy!

Big guns
it is looking great, I was checking out the muscle buildup it all looks fine. But since you are going for a replica and detailed work there are 3 things that does not feel right to me.

-Fibula seems rotated little bit in your last render, in previous ones it seems better. Maybe that line is some sort of vein that is passing over the fibula or rigging-posing related?

-His left foot is little too thin in my opinion. I think I know why you go for that look, probably because most of the bodybuilders have so much muscle that their feet look smaller, plus they put more weight on those feet

-The head feels little big

These are just minor suggestions. They are not meant for undermining your great work and your undertake here!

can anybody send me his “Arnold”?
I want to have a Template

This is excellent, good job man. It also looks realistic :+1:

btw: I’ve seen someone saying that Arnold is only flab because he’s almost 60 or w/e, but the REAL reason he’s flab is because he took steroids, take a look at Lou Ferrigno, he’s still ripped as hell, and its because he “didn’t/doesn’t” take steroids

Hey dude, Lou ferrigno did a lots of use of steroid, almost than arnold for sure, to be in this class of big guy, you need it if not, forget it! Lou Ferrigno at his top was 300 pounds rip for 6 foot 5 inch… don’t think it’s natural
