April WIP (nudity) and a topology question

Hey all, I’m a longtime lurker on this forum, learning all I can from the wonderful artists who very kindly post their fabulous works here!

I am posting my current project both for critique and advice on an issue I am having with the geometry at the underarm. I didn’t put in enough quads when I created the basemesh, and now I find I don’t have enough geometry in this area, even at 2 million polys. I want to add extra geometry to the basemesh without losing the work I have done at higher levels, but just not sure how to proceed with this. There’s also something off about the scapulae, I’m just not sure about what the topology should look like here. I need to keep the basemesh polycount low-ish. It’s currently 1836

I built the basemesh in Blender, I don’t know if GoZ works with Blender yet.

Export the base mesh to blender, reconstruct the parts you like. Import again and reproject. Or edit the low mesh using this “zspheres topo edit” in zbrush.
In any case you have to project in the end.
Similar you may export the low and high meshes to blender and do retopo there. Shrinkwrap works similar to zbrush.

oooh exporting the lowest subD to blender and back to Zbrush worked a treat! :smiley: I learn so much from this forum, what an awesome place :smiley: I’ve been using Zbrush every day for 2 years and still have so much to learn :eek:
