Hi, I having trouble using the “apply dispmap” followed by the “create dispmap”. Basically I have an image(done in photoshop) I want to use as a starting point for a displacement in zbrush. I import it as an alpha, divide my geo a number of times - go to the displacement map section and use “apply dispmap” - this seems to work fine … next I add some more displacement detailing with (z)brushes … then go back down to the lowest res and use “create dispmap” . Adaptive,32 bit is on … the map created seems to be completed wrong… nothing to do with the displacement details. If I go back up to the highest subdivisions of the mesh … the displacements look ok… but I can’t generate a dispmap from it using “create dispmap”… am I missing something?! The geo is a simple grid with planar uvs… (made in maya)
