Hmmmm…
So I have a model with several subtools, and I’m trying to append the SupaAverageMan for a base mesh to add to the scene. I’ve tried two different ways, both with the same problem, which is…
…after appending, when I try to rotate, scale, or move the dude, he immediately shrinks really small, but zbrush still perceives the model as being large…
First I tried to just load and append the guy. He shrunk immediately upon trying to rotate, then rotated awkwardly on the larger model’s original axis.
So I tried to just open up the super average man and add some gear to him outside of the scene. After adding some loose mesh extracts, I jumped back into the original scene to append him and his subtools. Everything is shrinking again upon scaling, moving or rotating. So I deleted the subtools, rescaled the shrunken man, and tried to create new subtools within the scene. Well he was huge upon appending, then shrunk, then was rescaled somewhere between. I go to do some mesh extracts and what do ya know, the extracts are derived from the huge model that is no more, and placed off in 3d space where the larger model originally was. In other words, the extracted shirt isn’t on the resized guy, it’s placed where the original model was when appended.
??? any thoughts ???
(I’m just going to use some freakin’ zspheres, but I’m curious about the cause)
