Ao In Zb 3.5

Hi Everyone,

Does Anyone Knows How The New Ao In Zb 3.5 Works? The Setting Will Be Very Helpful.

It’s done in the masking tab. To get a quick result try this:
Make a polysphere, divide it up a few times
Add surface noise, tweak the curve to get some dramatic noise
Transfer noise to the mesh
Goto the masking tab and choose Mask Ambient Occlusion
Drop down to the lowest subdiv and put on PUV tiles for UV mapping
Pop back up to the top sub div and in the texture tab choose new from masking
Voila!

I am a bit newer to zbrush. I was following along with what you posted above, but I can’t seem to find any option for new texture from masking. It might be that It didn’t make a mask correctly when I tried perhaps. Should a mask be visible on the object from this method?

Or it could just be that the new from masking is called something different and I just don’t know any better.

Any help is appreciated, would like to learn about this!
