Anyone try displacement/normal maps in Maya 2009 yet?

The latest version I have had access to is extension 2. Not sure what the Mental Ray version was. I was getting displacements to work to a T.

Has anyone encountered unexpected problems in Maya 2009 like what happened with Maya 2008 with seams etc?

I dont have it, but I wouldnt want to go through the whole thing again with fixes.

Can someone confirm that you need to keep using the Marcotronic/Scott Spencer fix for displacement seams in Maya 2009?

I was able to do a little trial run test and it required the SS mel script fix again.
Anyone else?

Same Here, just gave it a go, looks lite it still needs the mel fix.

I belive I told Scott that in the beginning, however Zbrush should take only one aspect from mudbox, sine the setting aren’t as intense for displacement in maya 2009. After that Zbrush all the way!
