Any way to lock camera/view?

I’m sculpting on a flat plane and keep inadvertently shifting the camera because I make broad strokes, is there anyway to disable this, or lock the view somehow?

thanks

Being more careful helps as does the Axis plug to ‘snap’ to a view.

That’s not really a solution; I’m a bit surprised this isn’t a feature.

I don’t catch your meaning, I only want to prevent the viewport from moving.

There is no magic button or setting really. Quicksketch is about as close as I think you might get…http://docs.pixologic.com/?s=Quicksketch

  1. Select a dark color and fill the canvas by pressing Ctrl+F.
  2. Select white color and re-draw the plane on the canvas. Hit T to enter edit mode. You will have to click+drag outside the canvas to position the plane. Hold Shift to snap the plane to front view.

The dark color is just so you can see your work. If you want to rotate your work freely again just clear the canvas by pressing Ctrl+N.

Interesting fix, I haven’t tried it yet but sounds like it would work. thanks
