any way to change default lightbox texture location?

i don’t have a ton of space on my installation drive, but I have a data drive with all of my textures and whatnot installed. Is there a way to change the default folder that lightbox looks in, so I can have it point at my other drive rather than the ztextures folder?

i haven’t even been able to figure out how to browse to my other drive via lightbox, the search box doesn’t let me type in a drive letter, and the little file path status bar at the bottom won’t let you type anything in it. surely pixologic doesn’t expect us to dump several gigs worth of textures in a folder buried deep within our program files…

and as a side note- i hate to argue semantics with a software developer, but you guys should know better. user files don’t belong in program files. by default, windows doesn’t even allow you go into the folder to begin with since it’s easy for a novice to break installed programs by meddling with the contents. That’s why they make you click a button saying you understand the risks, and you want to meddle anyway.

That’s what the “user” folders are for.

You can create a shortcut to your texture folder and past that into this folder: C:\Program Files (x86)\Pixologic\ZBrush 4.0\ZTextures

awesome, that works great! thanks
