Answered: transpose - subtool problem

Hi,

I did a pose with my character with transponse plugin, but when i tred to get back subtools, a weird problem appeared.

[transpose.jpg](javascript:zb_insimg(‘213221’,‘transpose.jpg’,1,0))

If i try to export the obj, it cames as one single mesh and if i try GoZ nothing appears (there isn’t any point).

So, is there a way to use this pose?

and mainly, what happened? how can i avoid this situation?

Thanks,
Carlos

i tried again, his time i only pressed Transpose button and then trans->subtool.

Just to check…and for my surpise the problem happened again without any change in the pose:
[transpose1.jpg](javascript:zb_insimg(‘213223’,‘transpose1.jpg’,1,0))

any ideias?

This happend to me sometimes in the past, one way may be isolate the rest of the body with ctrl shift ten use move it may work it depends.

but if i do the way you say, only the selected subtool will move, not all them.

I think thats the point in using transpose plugin , it makes possible to merge temporalily everithing in one mesh, and then return to the subtools (at least the documentation says so…)

One big question: How big is the model when viewed in the Tool>Preview window? Extreme scales can cause issues with TransPose and therefore with TransPose Master.

Well, i think the scale is ok…no?

But about the mesh integrity…why does it happens the same mistake even when i just pressed Transpose button and then trans->subtool. (as at the second image)

thanks,
Carlos

it will happen even if you send the low def model to obj and try to reload it…
try to make a mesh check.
meshcheck.jpg

If it say is a bad mesh… the last hope is:
1-export your model in the lowest level of subdiv as an OBJ
2-export your model in the highest level of subdiv as an OBJ
3-reopen Zbrush
5- open your low obj file in zbrush
6- subdivide your low obj file to the level it was when you exported to the highest level
7- load your highest level to you newly subdivided low def obj.

hum…i think the mesh is ok, and the tests says only “Mesh integrity test completed successfully”

i don’t know what happened, but i’ll try to rig inside C4D.

thanks anyway
