Hey guys does anybody know any good tutorials or helpful links when it comes to taking an existing character and prepping it to be printed? I know there is an older tutorial with the shell face guy, but thats not exactly what i had in mind. I need to take a character that was created without 3d printing in mind and make it printable. The catch is that it needs keys. So i need to separate the arms and head so it can be molded and then have those pieces fit together. Can anybody help me? Thanks!
I’m not aware of a tutorial for this but what I would do is the following:
- Split the model up into multiple SubTools for each separate piece.
- Fill the holes.
- Sculpt your tabs.
- Use Matchmaker or projection to create matching slots.
- Use Decimation Master to reduce your polygon counts without sacrificing detail.
- Use 3D Print Exporter to export as STL.
Hello,
Do you have any suggesting on to import a photo and 3D printing a person face? I’m using Zbrush
Appreciate any help.
Thank you!!
