Answered: Polygroups odd bahaviour

Hi, Guys!
Today I was playing with zsphere and I got this issue, can you tell me why those cracks appear on the surface?
I simply created polygroups on a zsphere but when I subdivided appeared those splits, I also tried to import a sphere from aother 3d editor but the issue persists…

For whatever reason, the points where the two polygroups come together in the middle of the split are not welded. So when the model is divided, the mesh smoothing that takes place as part of the divide operation causes the points to pull away from each other.

Before dividing, try using Tool >> Geometry >> MeshIntegrity >> Check Mesh Int to see if it shows as a problem. If so, you can then use Fix Mesh to repair the issue.

There’s also Tool >> Geometry >> Modify Topology >> WeldPoints

I noticed that the problem occurs only when I use the slice rectangle:confused:

However many Thanks Aurick, with ā€œweld pointsā€ I solved the problem!!!
