Answered: Not enough disk space

I get this Zbrush4-install shield Wizard message but I have more than 800 GB of free space on my hard drive. I installed Zbrush 3.5r with no problems. I can’t figure out why it says I need to clear up space before installing 4. Any help appreciated.

is this on OSX?

on OSX you need to change the permissions of both your zbrush application folder and “users/shared” to 777 for “everyone”. The zbrush installer seems to miss this. happened in 3.2 as well.

I should have included the fact that I’m running Windows XP. My hard drive is labeled as I: not C: but all the other software including zbrush 3.5r installed without issue.

I’m having the same problem with XP, hard drinve labeled H with more than enough space on the drive. Has anyone come up with a solution? Thanks.

Z4 requires a C drive. There is no way around this, as GoZBrush depends on it.

If your computer does not have a C drive, there are some options available to you: https://support.pixologic.com/index.php?_m=knowledgebase&_a=viewarticle&kbarticleid=58&nav=0,3,4
