[Answered] Normal map limited to 2048x2048

Every time I generate a normal map, doesn’t matter the active tool, it is always at 2k. Creating a new texture with custom size doesn’t work and there are no preferences of the normal map tool anywhere.

I have seen this issue being asked before, but it was somehow avoided.

I have tried playing with Mem settings but it didn’t make a difference.

If you’re using ZBrush 4, you need to set the map size in the Tool > UV Map menu. This setting affects all maps created for that particular SubTool.

I strongly recommend reading the What’s New PDF found in the ZBrush 4\Documentation folder.

I see; that worked. Yes, I am using Z4. I looked into Zbrush 4 Documentation om the webpage before but didn’t find anything, I’ll check it. Thanks.
