[Answered] Maya to Zbrush 4r5 Multiple UV tiles and back again

Hi all

Im racking my brains on how to do this but can anyone suggest a way to use multiple uv tiles in Zbrush 4r5.

I want to import a mesh from Maya that has uv tile from 0-1, 1-2, 2-3 and so on. Zbrush used to support this factor ages back, is there a way of using the mesh like this now so I can create my textures and then export multiple maps in their correct positions for shading in maya. I dont really want a workaround…

I apologise in advance if this topic has already been posted

The Multi Map Exporter is designed to handle UV tiles. It’s incuded with the ZBrush installation. See here:
http://www.pixologic.com/docs/index.php/Multi_Map_Exporter

You’ll have to set up in Maya though as ZBrush dies not support UV tiles natively so you can’t use GoZ.

thank you Marcus.

I will check it out and let you know how I get on

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction, it worked a treat, the rest of the set up in maya is easy anyway without GoZ so I’m a happy man!!
