Answered: LightBox - FILE FORMAT ERROR

Hello all,

I’ve installed and registered V4 at work. All is well except for my LightBox. When I use the Yahoo image search I receive a File Format Error stating (Unable to read the specified file) for half of the JPGs that come via a search. Furthermore the corresponding slots are black with a question mark. Oddly enough however is that I can click most of those blank icons and still receive an image.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

I’m unable to duplicate this. I’ve tried several searches using Yahoo and don’t get any problems with the images it pulls.

Hey Aurick, thanks for your reply and attempt to reproduce the issue. I should have mentioned that I don’t have this problem at home either. It’s nuts. I might just reinstall Zbrush.

I’m having the same problem. It worked at first but now for some reason it keeps popping up errors whenever I do an image search.

Did you end up re-installing and if so did that fix the problem?

Thanks,
-TK

No, I haven’t reinstalled. Image search in LB isn’t a huge part of my pipeline so I haven’t gone to the trouble. Still irritating when I forget about the problem and try to use it.

Yep- kind of annoying… Think it might be a firewall/security settings issue. It worked at first and now for some reason it doesn’t. You’d think they’d have this linked to the download center stuff too.
