On a PC I know the [ ] bracket keys make the brush size bigger and smaller. They do not work on a MAC tho. Anyone know what does it on a MAC, or how to assign the [ ] keys to do it? It’s extremely helpful, and they also function that way in Photoshop, so I’m already habitually tapping them. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!
You’ll find the actual buttons for these commands in the Zplugin >> Misc Utilities. Cmd+Alt+click on one and then press the key that you wish to assign to it. After you’ve done so for both, save your hotkeys via the Preferences palette.
It worked, so I then saved hotkeys in prefs. Then quit zBrush and relaunched. The bracket keys are back to not working. How do I make it stay that way from now on? Or do I always have to load hotkeys first?
btw, thanks for helping!
Did you save the hotkey file to the default location?
"ZBrush manages all temporary and configuration files in a dedicated public folder.
On Windows, this is the C:\Users\Public\Documents\ZBrushData folder. For Mac OS X it is the Users/Public/ZBrushData folder." - ZBrush4_R6_whats_new.pdf
yes
After you load the hotkey file, save the config (Ctrl+Shift+I) on Mac I think it is Cmd+Shift+I.
Also, make sure you click ‘Store’ in ‘Preferences > Hotkeys’.
All of these replies have been helpful. My problem is now solved. Thanks so much!
