I downloaded 4.0 and when I first opened ZBrush the first thing I did was run my stylus on the canvas and what I saw when I drew was a line of squares. Is this normal or was it a corrupted download? I don’t personally know anyone else with ZBrush so I needed an answer from any of you guys. Thanks.
this is the default start up. just choose your tool, primitives ect…
Perfect!
Thanks Strange.
I guess we have to keep the previous versions of ZBrush or can those be deleted and just have version 4?
I prefer to keep also the older versions. For example, following some old tutorial (I own the wonderful “Introduction to ZBrush 3” DVD by Meats Meier), it is easier to understand some passages and techniques by trying them on different ZB versions.
Ciao
I feel the same way now.
Grazie,

Hi,
Just to confirm that last sentence, does that mean we can have 3.5 and 4 on the same machine? There won’t be any problem with the licenses?
No problem. I keep 3.x and 4.0 (and older) around.
I still use 3.5 to get around the bugs in 4.0
G.
You can have both versions on the same computer. Only one can be run at a time.
ZBrush 4 is the only version that is supported, however. If you have difficulties with 3.5 you are on your own and it can no longer be reinstalled or activated.
Thanks for the quick reply. So that means I will only have issues if I format my machine and need to active 3.5 again right? otherwise all good for testing.
