Answered: imageplane pictures

Hi,

I read a tutorial, and it said:
loadtool>imageplaneX.ztl
turn on edit mode
choose fastShader material
set color white
import textures>imagePlainX.psd

then i made a copy from this psd, and change the pictures. But when I try to reimport in the textures, the pictures doesn’t appear on the reference planes. Even if I choose other textures, nothing happens… The imageplain has UV map. I am only able to change the color of the fast shader…
How can I change imageplain textures?
thank you

In ZBrush 4 textures are applied individually to SubTools rather than to the entire model. This means you need to apply the imported texture to the ImagePlane SubTool. This is done using the thumbnail area in the Tool>Texture Map menu.

You will also probably want to turn Ghost off after activating transparency.

Thank you very much.
After the first post I find the fillobject button in the color menu, but the image was blochy. I thought the texture menu on the left side was the same as in the tool menu. But it seems they are not. I managed to do it as you mentioned! Great thanks!

Where can i turn off Ghost?
Because when i import the two subtools - the imageplane with the images, plus the mesh i want to sculpt - i can turn on transparency only on the plane, but it wont affect the mesh…and i cant switch it. Could this be because of the “Ghost”?

Ty

Ghost is on the right shelf, right below the Transparency button and becomes available when Transparency is active.

i have so much love for this forum, thanks. (i had a diff UI activated.)
