Hi all,
I have followed the steps to create a displacement map as outlined in the zclassroom but have hit a snag I am getting an error when I click “Create DispMap” “Map cannot be created while at highest subdiv level…” but I only have 1 subdiv level on the sculpt as I am working on a decimated clone that I will soon GoZ, I dont wanna GoZ the model before I create all the maps!

Displacement and Normal maps are difference maps. That means that they map out the differences between an undetailed model and a detailed one. For this reason you must have multiple subdivision levels.

Since you’ve decimated your model down you already have the details you want on the lowest level. There’s no need for such a map.
