Answered: Detailing issue

Hi everyone,

Pretty new to Zbrush but have been playing with it a few time and always do face a big wall when I get to the detailing stage. I run zbrush on a xeon E5520 with 5 gb of ram. When I get to higher subdivison level and want to carve some wrinkles in my brushes are getting dotty and can’t do a smooth displacement. I have research the internet a bit with absolutely no luck.

Does anyone know what the issue is ?

Thanks.

It could be that you just have too many polygons for smooth interaction with the surface. The solution would be to break the model up into multiple SubTools or to hide the parts of the surface that you’re not currently sculpting.

Thanks for the reply, somehow it looks more like there is not enough subdivision level and the brush works only every 5 to 10 polygons.

Do this make sense ?
